An Official Community Plan (OCP) is a provincially mandated, legal document that guides decisions on local development.
An OCP sets policy directions on:
OCPs are updated regularly to reflect changing conditions like population growth. Full revisions usually occur every ten years or so. Local councils and others use OCPs to guide development decision-making and provide consistency over time. When adopted, this will be the first OCP for Area D - Rural Graham Island.
